      Biography

Cristina Sanchez had originally planned on going to medical school, but her work at a small plaintiffs' firm after college inspired her to instead pursue a career in law. Cristina worked for the same firm while in law school and joined Baron & Budd in 2005. "I came to Baron & Budd because I enjoy doing plaintiffs' work and wanted to continue doing so. It is also such a great firm that I knew I would learn a lot by working with such experienced and respected attorneys."

Cristina is an attorney with the firm's water contamination litigation group, representing municipalities, water providers, and private well owners seeking clean-up costs for polluted drinking water supplies. She puts her strong advocacy skills as well as her undergraduate degree in biological sciences and minor in chemistry to good use in her practice. Cristina was the National Champion and won the Best Brief Award and Second Place Oralist in the 2002 Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Competition. She also won first place in the Southern Methodist University Client Counseling Competition in 2001 and served as Chief Counsel for SMU's Criminal Defense Legal Clinic in 2002.

Outside of her law practice, Cristina has served as the 2005 Region XII Deputy of the Hispanic National Bar Association and Co-Chair for the 2005 Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Competition and Midyear Conference. She also serves on the Aid to the Homeless Committee of the Dallas Young Lawyers Association.
