Mabel Cabrera is an associate in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Her areas of practice include title insurance, real estate, commercial litigation and first and third party insurance defense.
Ms. Cabrera earned her Juris Doctor in 2009 from Florida International University College of Law and received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida in 2005 with a major in psychology and a minor in sociology. She was a recurrent member of the Dean's List at UM and at F.I.U. College of Law.
While in law school, Ms. Cabrera was actively involved in Florida International University's Board of Advocates, where she held the position of Secretary of Appellate Affairs and participated in three appellate advocacy competitions. In 2008 Ms. Cabrera reached the semi-final round at the Robert Orseck Memorial Moot Court Competition and the following year she represented her school at the Hispanic National Bar Association National Moot Court Competition where she was awarded the Runner-Up Best Petitioner Brief award. Ms. Cabrera was also awarded the Best Oralist award of the F.I.U. College of Law 2009 graduating class and obtained the Book Award in her law school's Business Organizations class.
Ms. Cabrera is a member of The Florida Bar and is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Cabrera practiced in the field of workers' compensation.
