I guess, in his defense, his case did get handed off to mine due to my old lawyer becoming a judge, but he literally didn’t have to do anything. I talked to the DA myself and had a deal worked out, spoke with Tom about it, all he had to do was put in the motion. Never happened. Asked to to WITHDRAW from my case so I can get a public defender to do it, he agrees. A week later went to apply for a PD, they refuse me due to this man being assigned to me already and has put in no paperwork to withdraw. Call him, ask him about it, of course he doesn’t remember who I am or why I called, had to give him a recap of everything we ever talked about, which is normal for a call to him (not sure if it’s just a can kicking game or he’s really senile) and he then tells me it would be a easy thing for him to just take care of himself instead of withdrawing and me having to let a public defender do this simple task, I agree. Never put in anything. At all. I finally was able to hire another lawyer and I have the paperwork. Man literally did nothing
