Marina is an Associate in our Business Law & Transactions and Health Law departments. In her practice, she focuses on data privacy and security and transactional and regulatory advice for business and health care clients.
Marina brings with her substantial experience in the data and privacy security field. Previously, she interned at the Center for Internet Security and Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance while in law school. At the Center for Internet Security, Marina researched election FOIA exemptions for the Election Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Center, which was shared with election officials across the country. She also researched and drafted memoranda on General Data Protection Regulation, California Consumer Privacy Act, and state data breach laws. Her work at the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance included legal research on data protection, cloud computing, security, and privacy issues. Marina also researched security and privacy issues relating to Internet of Things devices and genetic data privacy as a Research Assistant for Associate Dean Antony Haynes. In addition, she was the President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and an Associate Editor of the Albany Law Review.
