Biography
As the founder of the Law Offices of Mark E. Hancock, Ventura lawyer Mark E. Hancock offers legal representation in the areas of: personal injury, insurance claims, disability appeals and lawsuits (ERISA and state law), insurance breach of contract and bad faith, real estate and other civil matters and cases. He has been practicing as an attorney for over 34 years. Mark has successful trial experience, both as a lawyer representing insured individuals and corporate defendants (e.g. Target Stores and Brunswick Marine) and as a lawyer representing plaintiffs. He has been coverage counsel for insurance companies. He has won many ERISA LTD appeals and been accepted as Cumis counsel by major insurers in conflict cases. He is a graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara and the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. Before law school, Mark worked as an assistant property underwriter and attended the College of Insurance, where he received a Diploma in Risk and Insurance. Mark is a member of the Ventura County Bar and Ventura County Trial Lawyers Associations. He has volunteered as a Judge Pro Tem for the Ventura County Superior Court.
