Marvin Stuart Lanter

Marvin S. Lanter is a sole practitioner with extensive litigation experience, focusing on personal injury and business cases for 30 years in the Southern California area.

He is the recipient of the 2005 Presidentâs Award of Merit from the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. He has received a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Volunteer Service from the Los Angeles County Bar Association Dispute Resolution Services and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Los Angeles County Superior Courts for pro bono services rendered as Arbitrator, Mediator and Settlement Officer.

His professional activities include serving as Arbitrator for the Los Angeles Superior Court, Judge for the Los Angeles Superior Court â Small Claims, Settlement Officer for the Los Angeles Superior Court and Arbitrator for the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Lanterâs professional memberships include the State Bar of California since 1976, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Consumer Attorneys of California, the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Lanter has lectured for Lorman Education Servicesâ âLitigation Skills for Legal Staff in Californiaâ and âHelping Your Trial Lawyer Prepare for Trialâ. He has previously lectured at West Los Angeles College â âNuts and Bolts of Litigation for Paralegalsâ. He is the author of âThe Paralegalâs Role in Trial Preparationâ and âWhat to do in Case You Have an Accidentâ published on the Internet.

He received his J.D. degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California.
