Valerie Diaz Cruz is a long-time resident of Hazleton, PA. She is a 2011 graduate of Hazleton Area High School and a 2014 graduate of Temple University, where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. While at Temple University, Valerie was invited to and inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
In 2019, Valerie graduated from Temple University Beasley School of Law and received a Juris Doctor. While earning her J.D., Valerie was a recipient of several scholarships (The Conwell Scholarship, The James Peter and Stella Liacouras Memorial Scholarship, and The Hispanic Bar Association Legal Education Fund Scholarship). She was a member as well as president of the Latin American Law Student Association. Valerie also worked with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of PA, served as a teaching assistant to the Honorable Juan R. Sánchez and the Honorable Mia R. Perez, and was as a Certified Legal Intern in the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office.
Valerie has worked in and is very familiar with the Luzerne County Judicial System. From October 2015 through August 2016 she worked for Honorable Joseph D. Zola. During the summer of 2017, Valerie served a judicial internship with the Honorable Tina P. Gartley and from May 2018 through August 2018 Valerie was a Certified Legal Intern in the Luzerne County District Attorney's Office.
Today, Valerie focuses her practice on Workers' Compensation Law, Personal Injury Law, Commercial Litigation, Real Estate, and Family Law.
