Please take heed to the previous review as well as this review. Maurice Klein is not client centered. Maurice is only interested in the fee he charges with little or no attention to the legal matter he was retained to do.During the initial communication with Maurice Klein’s legal assistant she stated the fee for the legal matter I was pursuing would be $1500 and any unused portion after researching information needed to pursue the case would be refunded. After speaking with Maurice he stated she was confused about the fee structure. So he weaseled his way out of that miscommunication.I did retain Maurice and paid the retainer’s fee upfront as is his policy. He requested information regarding the probate case and was provided the information within 24 hours.Maurice Klein failed to respond within 24 hours, intuitively I knew I had made a bad decision in retaining him. I called for the next 3 days and emailed Maurice. Finally he responded with the usual I was in court excuse.This was a repeated pattern without any action taken other than sending a letter via USPS and later sending an email.Here is the problem for this type of probate case he couldn’t pursue anything because the the time period of the will was not yet finalized. Maurice purports himself to be experienced in probate and will proceedings for over 25 years. You would think if he has that level of knowledge and expertise he would have known at the beginning there was nothing he could do at this time.Once again I called several times and sent an email to request an update.Finally he called back with this dismal story that he was not able to pursue any further without litigating the case. I began questioning about his poor advisement at the time of retaining his services. Of course he became offended, emailed me the next day stating based on the conversation from the previous day, if I wanted to pursue the case he could no longer represent me.Maurice is not as professional as he tries to appear , he talks a lot of legal jargon but it is not accompanied with any action.Be ware of Maurice E. Klein or you will regret it!
