I had a fantastic experience with McGee, Lerer & Associates. After I was in a car accident and called them, they quickly came on board and got in contact with the other driver’s insurance. They fought for me to get the medical attention I needed, as well as a settlement. Maria was my case worker and she was fantastic, always available to answer my questions and always had my best interest.

Rated 3.5/Good because: they did get my case through with the expected outcome and are friendly. Although it took almost 3 years, a lot of phone calls, lots requiring me repeating the same thing to new case managers (I can’t count anymore but probably between 5-10) to whom my case was passed around. Was also sent too many times to doctors within their network to re-assess multiple times my situation. Had to battle quite a bit against pressure I felt to get things done and for which I was not comfortable doing (e.g. immediate surgery and continuing to see their doctors). These extra doctor visits shaved an extra 2.5% off of my total compensation, “after negotiation”. I would recommend them but with advise/warning on lessons I learned going through this experience.

My initial conversations were with Katherine who offered to guide me in my case. After three months I decided to let the professionals take over. Nancy quickly took over the case and was very professional, knowledgeable and patient with me. They resolved my issues with a very favorable outcome for myself. This past Spring, my wife and I were involved in a serious car accident at the expense of a very young and irresponsible driver. At first no one was hurt but a few days later my wife (who was the passenger) suffered a severe lower right back spasm which caused significant internal bruising that left her extremely weak and in severe pain. I took her to our local ER as well as her own PCP. I then contacted McGee Lehrer & Associates at the recommendation of one of my former co-workers. Nick Ramirez, the ML&A injury attorney who represented my wife far exceeded our expectations! Once he received all her medical information, he went right to work. He immediately set up a well-established Chiropractor as well as an Acupuncturist for my wife, conveniently located less than 10 minutes from home. Once my wife finished her treatments and was well, Nick negotiated with the other party’s insurance for the injury settlement. Their insurance company offered an initial settlement figure that would leave my wife nothing after all medical and attorney fees were paid! Nick would have none of that. To make a long story short, Nick got their insurance company to offer a settlement figure that was 5 times more than the initial figure, plus he was able to get all the medical expenses my wife endured significantly lowered. Nick also insured that the other party’s insurance promptly paid me back for every amount spent on cab fares and car rental for the two months that my vehicle was in the repair shop.
