*Tambien en Espanol Abajo* I like the attorneys at this office on a personal level, especially Carlos, but I have some problems how they handled me and my time. 1st off when Initially called, I made it clear what I needed and they made it clear they could handle my immigration needs. I asked for a ball park in price but they could not give any details and said I needed to pay a $150 consultation. I reluctantly agreed because the paralegal assured me they could handle it and we could get moving on it if we agree to the retainer. 2nd when I arrived for my meeting, that I paid for at 2pm, I had arranged for my incarcerated love one to call at 2:15 to discuss details. From 2pm to 2:15pm so that the attorney and I could prep for the call together as we only had 10 minutes with her on the line. I provided all needed information before hand as well so he could be prepared for the meeting. The attorney arrived late (because he went up the street to eat) and got to the office at the exact time she was calling in. We wasted precious time confused and unprepared. Then: 3rd at 3:30pm on a Friday tells me he cant do it (or wont, I was confused), did not give me a price as promised and sent me out the door with a referral to a firm in Texas that wanted another consultation fee of $200 this time. I spent the money looking for answers and assistance and in return walked away in a worse position then before because now I have no less money to pay another consultation fee and we are losing precious time in a very fast moving process. It is either unethical to accept my money knowing they would refer me somewhere else or negligent (or arrogant) to have not reviewed the information provided for the meeting in advance.
