My experience with Shawn Heffernan of Shawn H. Heffernan & Associates PC has been a 3 year journey. It has been a journey of trust and faith that I had chosen the correct person to represent me against 1st, “my Car Insurance Company” and 2nd “the Medical System”. I am the first to tell you that I am jaded, and think law is a business for lawyers play games with their clients, drag things out in order to get more money, and claim to loathe opposing counsel while meeting for drinks after a heated battle in front of the judge. (OK, maybe too much Law and Order). However, in my case (and this is the third attorney I have had in battles with the ex over the past 20 years) I stand by my 5 star rating. Shawn gave me solid advice, listened to my concerns, followed through on my requests, and SLAM-DUNKED opposing counsel in court. He listened to me and was open to my feedback; included me in decisions and next steps. It may have been a long and drawn-out process, which again is the court system in general, however Shawn remained steadfast, and was incredibly impressive in his representation in the court proceedings. Shawn first represented me about 17 years ago and I must say that what I really admired about him was that he really cared about me and my case. A few months ago I had a family law matter and was searching for an attorney. Again, I turned to Shawn. Shawn is a professional and really fought for me again.
