Prior to joining JJS's Sexual Abuse Division, Adina Katz represented children in a wide range of abuse and neglect cases, mainly in the Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Prior to representing children, Adina worked as a family law attorney representing people who were getting a divorce or seeking child custody or child support. She also did some estate and guardianship work for people who were unable to make their own decisions and needed a guardian appointed for them.
While in school, Adina was president for two years of the Jewish Law Student Association. She also was a student attorney for the Civil Rights of Persons with Disabilities Clinic at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law where she worked with the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) to represent the clients the NAD serves. As part of her clinic work, Adina co-authored an article about internet accessibility for people with disabilities which was published in the Los Angeles and San Francisco Journals.
