I spoke to Alan Ginsberg at length before hiring him. I explained I had some bad experiences with my previous lawyer who never sent me any documents and was not very responsive. He assured me over and over he was not like that and was the type of person that “got things done in a timely manner and I will keep you informed of everything right away”. After hiring and paying him, he recorded himself as the attorney on record. Then he almost immediately became unresponsive. I sent him pages and pages of information and evidence related to the case. He never responded to any of it much less filed anything with the court. I asked him many times via email to respond with zero response. I left him many voicemails which he would seldomly return and when he would, I would just get excuses or ‘I’m working on it’. Once I didn’t hear from him for 3 weeks, he said his son had COVID. Sorry but I’m not sure why that gives you the right to disregard your job and your client for 3 months. I hired this lawyer for approximately 3 months before firing him. When I finally did fire him I found out the opposing attorney had filed 3 or 4 motions over 2 months time prior that my lawyer didn’t bother to respond to, or even tell us about! He didn’t do one single thing other than tell the court he was my attorney, then months later he was fired as my attorney.I am an unemployed mother of a toddler and an immigrant and for someone to take advantage and steal my money like this is a crime both morally and judicially. I will be reporting this lawyer to the Florida Bar and if you look at other reviews online of him, other clients of his are doing the same.
