Alexander F. Beale

Alexander Beale is an attorney in the Class Action Group at Franklin D. Azar & Associates, P.C., practicing in the fields of consumer, securities, and ERISA class action lawsuits. Mr. Beale is the first-generation of his mother's family born in the United States and a proud Italian-American. He joined Franklin D. Azar & Associates, P.C. in February of 2018.

Mr. Beale received his bachelor's degree in Political Science and Italian from Susquehanna University 2015. He received his law degree from Widener Commonwealth Law School where he graduated summa cum laude in 2018. While earning his law degree, Alexander worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Christopher C. Conner, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, as a summer intern for the Honorable P. Kevin Brobson of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, and a summer clerk for the Harrisburg, PA personal injury law firm of Handler, Henning & Rosenberg. In his final year of law school, Alexander worked at his school's Civil Law Clinic, representing indigent clients who otherwise would not have had access to the justice system.

Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Beale has also served as the Widener Commonwealth Law Review's Internal Managing Editor, he authored two articles: Whose Coffers Spill When Autonomous Cars Kill? A New Tort Theory for The Computer Code Rode, 27 Widener Commw. L. Rev. 215, which reflects his passion for evolving technology and holding corporations accountable to consumers; and Get Off My Lawn! A Critical Analysis of In re Sunoco Pipeline and its Impact On Eminent Domain in Pennsylvania, 27 Widener Commw. L. Rev. 287. He also received The International Academy of Trial Lawyers Distinguished Achievement in the Art and Science of Advocacy Award.

Since joining Franklin D. Azar & Associates, Mr. Beale has worked on a number of class and putative class actions involving unfair and deceptive business practices, data breaches, securities violations, and ERISA violations, including, inter alia, In re Edward D. Jones & Co., L.P. Securities Litigation, United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, Case No. 18-cv-00714-JAM-AC (involving allegations of federal securities law violations and breaches of fiduciary duty for reverse churning); Birse v. CenturyLink, Inc., et al, United States District Court for the District of Colorado, Case No. 1:17-cv-02872-CMA-NYW (involving breaches of fiduciary duties to properly design, manage, operate, monitor and administer an ERISA plan); Brown v Nationwide Life Ins. Co., et al, United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, Case No. 2:17-cv-00558-ALM-CMV (involving overcharging of fees to ERISA plan); Kipling v. Flex, Ltd., et al, United States District Court for the Northern District of California, Case No. 5:18-cv-02706-LHK (involving violations of federal securities laws); and Heidbreder v. Epic Games, Inc., United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, Case No. 5:19-cv-00348-BO (involving the breach and exploitation of consumers' personally identifiable information).

Outside of his professional career, he does pro-bono work and is a dedicated volunteer with Easterseals Colorado, a group that supports persons with disabilities. Alexander was also named one of Pi Kappa Phi's "Thirty Under 30." He believes that being a member of Pi Kappa Phi in college helped him foster a deep sense of community and responsibility. His work ethic became focused on bettering his chapter, school, and community which translates into his work ethic to better his clients' lives now.

When taking time away from vigorously advocating his clients' interests, Alexander enjoys relaxing with his cat, Bilbo, pursuing his passion for cars and automotive technology, hiking in the mountains, cooking, and visiting his family in Italy.
