Allana "Lana" Smith is a Litigation Associate in our Miami, FL office. Having grown up in Ohio watching her mother run her own law practice, Ms. Smith developed a passion for professionalism and advocacy at an early age.
Ms. Smith began her legal career as an intern at the Supreme Court of Ohio where she worked alongside Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor, the Ohio House of Representatives, and the Ohio Senate on Ohio's bail reform. She graduated from the University of Dayton with a dual bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice Studies in 2017. In 2020, Ms. Smith received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, Ms. Smith competed in national and local mock trial and moot court competitions, which strengthened her ability to debate, negotiate, and advocate on behalf of her clients.
Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Ms. Smith defended national corporations against high-profile negligence claims and represented homeowner's associations and single-family homeowners in bringing complex construction defect claims. Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants, Ms. Smith is equipped with the knowledge and unique skill set to properly handle all aspects of your case.
In her spare time, Ms. Smith enjoys spending time with her family, friends, two dogs, and 30 houseplants. She also enjoys baking, writing, barre, and creating content for social media. Ms. Smith is a devout Christian.
