Anthony Sheffy is the founding partner of Sheffy, Mazzaccaro, DePaolo & DeNigris, L.L.P., which is located centrally in Southington, Connecticut. He has taken insurance, personal injury and commercial jury verdicts in state and federal court on behalf of both businesses and individuals.
Tony has written and lectured on topics ranging from the fundamentals of presenting civil jury cases for lawyers new to the practice to advanced evidence techniques for attorneys experienced in the courtroom. He has presented televised seminars on the trial of traumatic brain injury cases.
Tony has been honored by his peers with an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell (. He has been inducted into the Order of Justitia by the Litigation Counsel of America consisting of the top 1% of all lawyers in America, a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, designated as a Top 100 Lawyers in America, and recognized by Connecticut Super Lawyers? since 2011.
Tony has been recognized for his work with local non-profit organizations receiving the Southington-Cheshire YMCA's Person of the Year Award. He is a founding director of the Southington Education Foundation, past Chair of the Southington Chamber of Commerce (where he remains as legal counsel), and past president of the Southington United Way. He presently serves as a Board Member of the Charter Oak State College Foundation and the Southington YMCA. He is legal counsel to the Southington Chamber.
Mr. Sheffy earned his B.S. degree in combined music and physics from Lebanon Valley College (1985); and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Western New England School of Law (1988) where he was selected for the law review.
