Art began his legal career by serving as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Wm. Terrell Hodges, United States District Judge, in Tampa, Florida. Since returning to his hometown of Sarasota in 1989, Art has become a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of cases including personal injury, professional malpractice, employment litigation, and estate litigation. Art was also privileged to serve as General Counsel to the School Board of Sarasota County for 22 years. During that time, Art advised the School Board on many complex legal issues including those related to school finance, labor relations, and litigation.
