Ashley B. Winstead is an associate in the Jacksonville office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Her areas of practice include insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, and nursing home defense.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee, in 2004 she received a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in political science. Mrs. Winstead earned her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida in 2007. She graduated in the top 22% of her class. While in law school, she was a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Fraternity and the Criminal Law Society.
Previously, Mrs. Winstead was a research assistant and teaching assistant for the Honorable Thomas Hornsby. She was a law clerk at Schutt, Schmidt, Burnett, & Noey, where her responsibilities included drafting pre-trial motions and pleadings, and assisting in discovery. Mrs. Winstead also conducted extensive legal research on substantive issues for both plaintiff and defense cases.
Mrs. Winstead is licensed to practice law in Florida. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle and Northern Districts of Florida. Mrs. Winstead is a member of the American Bar Association; the Florida Bar Trial Lawyers Section and the Young Lawyers Division; the Jacksonville Bar Association; the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association; and the Defense Research Institute.
