B.F. "Jack" Lowery graduated from Pembroke State College, Pembroke, North Carolina in 1958. While attending Pembroke State College he was listed in 1957-58 Edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges. He graduated from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University of Alabama with a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree. He has been a practicing attorney in Lebanon, Tennessee since 1962.Jack has built a law practice in Tennessee and has a distinguished reputation as a personal injury and criminal defense lawyer. He also is the corporate attorney for Toshiba America, Inc., Tennessee Division. He was General Counsel for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc., for 26 years. He serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Cracker Barrel Corporation, a billion dollar plus restaurant chain located throughout the United States.In addition to a distinguished law career Jack has always managed to find time to serve as a public servant and be instrumental in community programs. In 1963 to 1966 Jack served as City Judge for Lebanon, Tennessee. In 1966 he was elected to the State of Tennessee House of Representatives where he represented the people of Wilson and Trousdale Counties. He served as city attorney for the City of Lebanon under two different mayors. Jack was elected and served as Mayor of the City of Lebanon, Tennessee in 1974-1977.In 1984 Jack and Don Chambers established LoJac Enterprises, Inc. The company has now expanded to include LoJac Inc. and LoJac Materials Inc. Lojac Enterprises, Inc. is a highway construction company engaged in the rehabilitation of interstate highways and is engaged primarily in asphalt production. The company operates asphalt plants in Middle Tennessee along with a grading division. LoJac Inc. is a concrete rehabilitation company operating in the Southeastern United States, mainly at airports and interstate bridging. LoJac Materials, Inc. is a concrete block manufacturing operation located in Middle Tennessee.Jack is an experienced pilot and has been very instrumental in the development of the Lebanon Airport, which was greatly improved during his tenure as Mayor of the City of Lebanon. The airport now has a concrete runway of five thousand feet and is able to service corporate jets as well as many private and business planes in the area.
