Benjamin Gettinger

Ben Gettinger is a general practice attorney. Mr. Gettinger is an experienced divorce and family law attorney. His practice also includes land use, real estate, bankruptcy and business organization. In addition, Mr. Gettinger often advises and represents municipalities, police officers, first responders and politicians on a variety of issues, including labor and employment disputes, Freedom of Information Act requests and general litigation matters.

Mr. Gettinger received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Connecticut and his Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Gettinger served as the Managing Editor of the Quinnipiac Law Review. He then clerked for the Honorable Francis X. Hennessy of the Connecticut Appellate Court.

Mr. Gettinger is currently a Commissioner on the Connecticut Law Revision Commission; Trustee to the Boys & Girls Club of Milford; Board Member on the Friends of Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital; and Board Member on the City of Milford, Council on Aging. He previously served as the Chairmen of Milford Planning & Zoning; Board Member on Milford Fine Arts Council; Member on Milford Zoning Board of Appeals; and Representative on the South Central Regional Water Authority.

Mr. Gettinger is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, New Haven County Bar Association, Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Gettinger is also on the Executive Committee of the Criminal Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.
