Attorney Bonnie Kendrick is an associate at Simmons Hanly Conroy in the Complex Litigation Department, where her primary focus is assisting with the firm’s prescription opioid litigation. In this role and others, she works with multi-district litigation (MDL) leadership committees and is involved in each step of the litigation process. She joined the firm in 2019 with 11 years of experience.
Justice for People Harmed by CorporationsBonnie was drawn to a legal career by the opportunity to achieve justice for those wronged by major corporations.
“I became an attorney to help people who have been harmed by corporations and pharmaceutical companies,” she said. “As a litigator, I’m able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by products whose makers knew they could cause harm but failed to properly warn consumers or negate the risk of harm.”
Every client is a priority to Bonnie. She enjoys getting to know them, listening to their concerns and experiences, and developing a personalized plan to approach each case.

Complex Litigation ExperienceBefore joining the firm, Bonnie most recently worked in complex litigation for a New Orleans law firm, focusing on litigation involving opiate prescription medications. She has assisted plaintiffs’ executive committees and plaintiffs’ steering committees with fact research, discovery, expert research, and case development in regard to generic pharmaceuticals pricing antitrust litigation, sales and products liability litigation, and national prescription opiate litigation.
Bonnie’s other significant cases include:She represented hundreds of former NFL players in pursuit of their claims in the NFL concussion settlement.She served on the litigation team on behalf of the plaintiffs’ steering committee in the matter of In re: Oil Spill by the Oil Rig “Deepwater Horizon” in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20, 2010, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.She served on the trial team on behalf of the plaintiffs in the matter of In re: Katrina Canal Breaches Consolidated Litigation in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.EducationBonnie received her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in 2005. She received her J.D. from Loyola University College of Law in 2008.
