Brent M. Steier is originally from Chicago, Illinois. A graduate of Northern Illinois University with a degree in Philosophy, in 1986, with honors, he attended Tulane Law School where he was selected to participate in one of the litigation clinics for the academic year 1992-1993. He is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana. Brent is a member of the Louisiana State Bar and Baton Rouge Bar Associations and his practice includes workers’ compensation litigation, contract litigation, insurance coverage litigation, construction litigation, commercial collections, and commercial bankruptcy (Adversary Proceedings). He has been a guest lecturer at Southern University on Workers’ Compensation Law and is a contributing author and presenter at a number of legal seminars on issues of workers’ compensation, collection law, and insurance coverage.
