Brian Davis

Mr. Davis, a partner at Adams & Adams, has been trying civil and criminal cases in Florida and New York state and federal courts since 1989. After graduating high school in Miami, he attended college at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. After graduating from Clark University in 1987, Mr. Davis attended law school at the University of Florida. While at UF, his academic achievements earned him a teaching fellowship instructor position. He also gained extensive trial experience as a Certified Legal Intern with the Public Defender's Office in Gainesville. As an intern, he tried several cases before juries, and he was promoted to Intern Supervisor. In that capacity, he both supervised and instructed new interns and continued trying cases.Upon graduation from law school in 1990, Mr. Davis aggressively pursued a litigation oriented career. While completing law school, he accepted employment with the New York City Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society, and he became a member of the New York Bar in 1990. As a senior trial attorney with Legal Aid Society he developed an extensive trial practice, trying over thirty cases before juries, usually winning acquittals for his clients.Since beginning practice in Florida in 1995, Mr. Davis has handled a wide array of civil litigation in state and federal courts. His focus includes tort litigation, insurance defense, insurance coverage, and appellate practice. In 1995 he was appointed as Special Assistant Public Defender for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, and he joined the Volunteer Lawyers Project for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He is also a member of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, United States Circuit Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Dade County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the New York State Bar.
