Brian G. McConaty specializes in civil trial practice with an emphasis on medical malpractice, health law and civil/commercial litigation. In 2008, he was elected Colorado's first Diplomate in the American Board of Trial Advocates and has tried over 100 jury trials to verdict. He is a Master Barrister with Doyle's American Inn of Court. He has been on the faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine for over 20 years and has been promoted from Clinical Instructor to Senior Clinical Instructor to Assistant Clinical Professor. He has lectured locally, nationally and internationally on medical-legal topics.
Mr. McConaty earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder. After law school, he served as a Deputy District Attorney in Aspen and Denver and assisted in the prosecution of Claudine Longet and Ted Bundy. He then served as an Assistant United States Attorney in charge of prosecution of organized crime/narcotics including the prosecution of the FBI's No.1 Most Wanted criminal at the time.
Mr. McConaty is admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States, United States District Court for the District of Colorado, Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute.
