Bridget Villarreal

A graduate with higher honors from the University of Texas at Austin, Bridget earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature and later her teaching certificate. She began her teaching career instructing grades first through fifth in Austin ISD area with an emphasis on dyslexic and English Language Learners.

Pursuing a call to the law, Bridget enrolled and graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts. While enrolled, Bridget participated in a summer program at Lund University Law School in Lund, Sweden concentrating on international comparative studies. She was awarded an internship at the United Nations in the office of the Special Representative to the Secretary General on Violence Against Children in New York City, New York. She also received an externship with Rivadeneyra, Trevino & de Campo in Puebla, Mexico. There she worked on forming Mexican corporations, trademarks (marcas), and Mexican agency disputes with Mexican and American corporations. During law school Bridget served as teaching assistant for Property law class as well as copy editor and research assistant that focused on Native American Tribal Rights and International law. Bridget also worked as a senior staff member on the Transnational Law Review at Suffolk University Law School using her research at the United Nations to further investigate and advocate for national legislation prohibiting bullying in public and private schools.

After law school Bridget clerked in a boutique law firm in the Boston, Massachusetts area that specialized in Social Security Disability law at a national level. Bridget became licensed in Massachusetts before she returned home to practice in Texas. Bridget is currently a licensed attorney in both Texas and Massachusetts. She currently works on disputes involving probate, personal injury, commercial, and postjudgment collection.
