Caitlin McQueen Tubbesing is a Lexington, Kentucky native and recently joined Wilson & McQueen after more than five years of practicing insurance litigation and coverage, long-term care defense, civil rights, and employment matters with regional and national defense firms. Her broad-based defense experience has positioned her to be able to effectively advocate for her clients. Her litigation practice is now focused exclusively on representing individuals in matters involving personal injury claims, auto and trucking accidents, premises liability, unfair claims settlement practices (bad faith), civil rights, employment, and nursing home abuse and neglect.
Ms. Tubbesing graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2016. She was a member of the Brandeis Honor Society, Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Animal and Environmental Law, a Brandeis Academic Fellow, and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Irv Maze, Kentucky Court of Appeals. During law school, she studied international intellectual property law at the University of Turku in Finland and Perm State University in Russia. She also participated in the Conference on Innovation and Communications Law in Leeds, England - which focuses on complex issues in intellectual property law. Additionally, she received CALI awards for the highest grade in Electronic Discovery and International Human Rights Law.
Prior to law school, she earned a Masters of Arts in Public Administration and Public Policy from the University of York in York, England, and a Masters of Arts in International Relations from the Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals in Barcelona, Spain. She also served as a political researcher in the House of Commons for Nigel Evans, MP.
In her free time, she enjoys running, traveling, seeing live music, and spending time with her husband, Rick, and dog, Lucy.
