      Carl Warner Hopkins is currently a general practice attorney, focusing on criminal litigation and bankruptcy litigation.

      Carl is a graduate of Pine Bluff High School, and after graduating from the University of Arkansas School of Law, moved to Fort Smith to be closer to his family. Carl is dedicated to Arkansas River Valley and Northwest Arkansas, and is involved in various civic organization and leadership groups. In 2006, Carl received the Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award from the Arkansas Volunteer Lawyers for the Elderly Association, and has received numerous other accolades from that organization over the years.

      Carl enjoys spending time with his four children, as well as volunteering in the community and watching the Razorbacks.

        Stay away from Carl Hopkins! Most unprofessional lawyer I have ever encountered.
        Choosing Carl Hopkins to handle my bankruptcy case was a massive mistake. He showed absolutely zero empathy or consideration for our financial situation. From the start, it was clear he didn’t care about helping us—he just wanted us to blindly sign the paperwork and get us out of the way.
        When I started asking basic, reasonable questions about our case, he completely lost his temper. He was incredibly dismissive, acting like a spoiled child who wasn’t getting his way. At one point, he seemed more concerned about his office TV not working correctly than answering any of our questions.
        It escalated to an unbelievable level when he snapped and told me to—and I quote—”get the fuck out of his office.” Even as I was gathering my things to leave, he continued to yell at me and threatened to call the police. I literally did nothing but ask questions about the case I am paying him to handle.
        I already paid him a $500 retainer, which I assume is gone, but I will never step foot in his office again. Save yourself the money, time, and extreme disrespect. Do not use this guy.
