Carson Nicolson practices out of the Daphne office. Mrs. Nicolson is a cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama. She received her juris doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law in 1987 where she was a Student Works Editor for the Alabama Law Review, and a member of Order of the Coif. She also was honored as a Hugo L. Black Scholar and recipient of the Dean M. Leigh Harrison award for outstanding scholarship and legal achievement.
Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Mrs. Nicolson practiced law with a larger firm in Mobile where she handled numerous commercial loan transactions and advised large banks on consumer regulation requirements. In private practice, she has handled numerous domestic and family law matters, real property transactions, and all types of civil litigation. She has litigated numerous complex cases to judgment, and done extensive appellate work.
Ms. Nicolson is a member of the Baldwin County Bar Association, the Alabama Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama. She is also a certified guardian ad litem representing the best interests of children in dependency matters. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Fairhope Public Library, the Alabama Outward Bound School, and as a member of her the Vestry of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for Alabama Appleseed.
