Catherine D. Stavros

Catherine Stavros is admitted to practice in Kentucky and Ohio, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and United States Supreme Court. She holds degrees from Transylvania University and Salmon P. Chase College of Law.

Cathy has been practicing law since 1991 and comes from a family of attorneys - her father, uncle and brother. She always knew she wanted to be an attorney and has enjoyed every day practicing law. She truly enjoys working with her clients and seeing them out in public and reconnecting with them.

Ms. Stavros has over twenty four years of experience in residential and commercial real estate in Kentucky and Ohio. Her experience includes representing lenders and mortgage companies in their need for title services, title insurance, closings and document preparation. After practicing for over fourteen years, Cathy decided to expand her practice to include Kentucky Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy representing Debtors.

She has been a presenter at the Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors for their continuing education as well as in the summer of 2013; she was the updated Author for the Kentucky Real Estate law and practice - Residential Purchase Agreements.

"Service to humanity is the Best Work of Life." That phrase from Cathy's days as both an Ashland Area and Kenton County Jaycee is still true to her today. She enjoys giving back to her community and working with various groups.

In the legal arena, she is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association. For the Northern Kentucky Bar Association, she has served as Law Day speaker, Young Lawyer Section chair, Real Estate Section co-chair, Women's' Law section co-chair, board member, Kenton County Library Board Trustee and President.

In the real estate community she is a member of the Affiliate Council, Public Relations Committee and twice recipient of the Affiliate of the Year award. With the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, she has served as a committee member for the Women's Initiative, Women's Golf Outing, Business Education Success Teams and a member of the Leadership Class of 2001.

For her church, Holy Trinity-St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, she is a member, Mother's Club president, and volunteer at the annual Panagyri. In the community, she has completed Governor's Commonwealth Institute of Parent Leadership program, is president of NKAGE-PALs, a board member for Kids Voting, parent member for Camp Ernst Middle School for SBDM (School Based Decision Making), Robotics/FLL Coach at Camp Ernst Middle School and a Girl Scout Troop Leader.

Ms. Stavros has two children and resides in Florence, Kentucky. The Stavros family enjoys watching sports, playing sports and dancing together at the annual Panagyri Festival as part of the Hellenic Greek Dance group.
