Christopher Garcia is an associate in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. , practicing in the areas of insurance defense including general personal injury and premises liability defense; foreclosure defense and real property transactions.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Garcia was general counsel with a real estate investment company in Miami where he handled real estate acquisitions of foreclosed properties, short sale negotiations and landlord/tenant issues. In addition to providing transactional advice, he analyzed and evaluated commercial properties for viability and profitability and assisted with property closings. Mr. Garcia has worked on both sides of the foreclosure process, working for a private defense firm, and one of the major foreclosure default servicing firms.
Mr. Garcia received a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Gainesville, Fla., in 2010 and Bachelor of Arts cum laude from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Fla., in 2006 majoring in English and political science. At UF he received the Book Award in Legal Drafting and was a member of the Dean's List and the Entertainment Law Review. He was also a certified legal intern with the Virgil D. Hawkins Civil Clinic and was an extern with the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney.
Mr. Garcia is licensed to practice law in Florida and is a member of The Florida Bar and the Federal Bar for the Southern District of Florida.
