Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe started his career as a prosecutor at the Chester County District Attorney's Office in 2009, handling all types of criminal cases; from minor offenses, like traffic citations, to serious felonies, such as murder. In 2013 he was promoted to Deputy District Attorney where he led the Office's Drug Unit-a team of prosecutors and detectives-supervising all the drug investigations and prosecutions in Chester County.
In 2015, Chris left the DA's Office to become a federal prosecutor in the District of Delaware. There he investigated and prosecuted a wide range of offenses-social security fraud, Covid fraud, drug dealing, stalking, kidnapping resulting in death, and national security related crimes.
Chris has received a number of commendations for his work as a prosecutor. Most significantly, in November of 2022, Assistant Attorney General Kenneth A. Polite, Jr. selected Chris and his team for the Criminal Divisions 2022 Exceptional Service Award, in recognition of their excellent work on a cartel kidnapping case.
Chris now works on a variety of legal matters at Bellwoar Kelly focusing primarily on civil litigation and criminal defense.
