Michael received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1987 and in 1990 graduated from the Boston University School of Law, where he was honored as a Paul J. Liacos scholar. Michael is a member of the New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont Bars, as well as the Bar of the United States Claims Court and the Supreme Court of the United States. Michael began his litigation practice with the firm in 1990.
Michael rapidly developed a significant trial practice representing a diverse clientele throughout Northern New England before State and Federal courts in divorce matters, contract cases, employment disputes and other civil matters. Michael's practice has evolved over the years and is now concentrated on representation of victims and their families in serious personal injury, products liability and wrongful death cases. Michael's aggressive and experienced representation has resulted in significant compensation in large cases as well as smaller cases. In 1997, Michael served as lead counsel representing a woman who sustained serious injury in an automobile accident and was successful in obtaining an award of one million dollars on her behalf. In recent years, Michael has successfully represented numerous injury victims in a wide variety of serious injury and death cases, including car/truck/motorcycle collisions, premises liability case, products liability cases and others. Michael and the rest of the injury litigation team are also representing hundreds of consumers injured by prescription and over-the-counter medications and medical devices.
Michael is a member of the American Trial Lawyers' Association, the Trial Lawyers' Association of New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
