Daniel T. Carlisle

Dan Carlisle works as a partner at Pemberton Law's Wadena office and focuses his law practice in estate planning, corporate law, rural electric cooperatives and municipal. Dan is a recipient of the 2001 "Rising Stars of Minnesota Law" award issued by Law & Politics magazine, a notable honor for attorneys. He has experience lecturing at national and state-wide legal seminars, and has argued successful cases in the Minnesota Court of Appeals and the North Dakota Supreme Court.

Dan grew up in Battle Lake, Minnesota and received his undergraduate degree in Public Administration from the University of North Dakota and his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Dakota School of Law.

He is a member of the Minnesota and North Dakota State Bar Associations, Seventh Judicial District Bar Association, Counsel of School Attorneys, Electric Cooperative Bar Association, past member of the Seventh District Ethics Committee, 2003 and 2012 President of the Seventh Judicial District Bar Association, and a member of the Governing Council of the Minnesota State Bar Associations Civil Litigation Section.

In the community, Dan is a board member of the Ottertail Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, Wadena Lions Club, a board member of the Wadena Area College Foundation and President of the Ottertail Lakes Property Owners Association. His passions include spending time with his family, hunting waterfowl, pursing upland game with his English Setter and relaxing at his family cottage on Ottertail Lake.
