      Biography

      Attorney Baker was admitted to the Arkansas Bar, U.S. Courts Bar for the Eastern District of Ark, and Federal 8th Circuit Bars in 1978. Since then he has tried over 250 jury trials in state and federal courts in both civil and criminal cases. He has also been acknowledged as a Super Lawyer. Attorney Baker is a Diplomate of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and has served upon the National Board of Governors for that organization for several years. He served as President of the Arkansas Chapter of ABOTA in 2003 and President of Southeast American Board of Trial Advocates in 2012. He is a member and past president of the William Overton chapter of American Inns of Court. He is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and former member of its board of governors. He is also a member of the Pulaski County and American Bar Associations. He is listed in Marquis Who's Who Top Lawyers and has been AV rated by Martindale Hubbell since 1989. He has been recognized as one of the State of Arkansas's Top Attorneys by Arkansas Life magazine and one of the top lawyers in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas by Memphis (TN) magazine. He has obtained multi-million dollar verdicts on behalf of injured clients in both state and federal courts and has represented criminal clients in both state and federal courts on a pro bono basis many times since his admission to the Bar. He has taught trial advocacy courses at the William Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is a founding member of Baker Schulze & Murphy law firm.
