David M. Tarlow is the managing partner of the Ft. Lauderdale office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Tarlow’s areas of practice include all aspects of insurance and general liability defense, including personal injury defense, premises liability, product liability defense, wrongful death, automobile liability, negligent security, legal malpractice defense, insurance coverage disputes and bad faith litigation. Mr. Tarlow has earned various defense verdicts in state and district courts throughout the state of Florida. Mr. Tarlow is an “AV” rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell Lawyers Directory and is recognized by the South Florida Legal Guide as a “Top Lawyer” practicing in the area of insurance defense. Mr. Tarlow is also a lecturer for the National Business Institute.
Mr. Tarlow graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 1991. He began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade County wherein he had the experience of trying in excess of 50 jury trials. Mr. Tarlow tried his first murder case at the age of 27 and went on to become death penalty certified by the Florida Supreme Court. In private practice, Mr. Tarlow was then the youngest attorney to be selected to the Criminal Justice Act Panel in the Southern District of Florida. To date, Mr. Tarlow has tried in excess of 100 jury trials and has handled numerous appeals. Mr. Tarlow has had the experience of arguing numerous cases before the Second, Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Tarlow is admitted to practice in all state courts within the state of Florida; the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts, Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
