After graduating from Baylor Law, I accepted a position at the Ferguson Firm in Beaumont, TX where I practiced Plaintiff's Personal Injury Law. I chose this field of law because I was severely injured in the 1999 Texas A&M bonfire collapse. My injury provided me with the unique opportunity to observe and interact with attorneys as a plaintiff. I'd found my calling; I knew that I would one day use my distinctive insights to help others, like me, who had been hurt and felt that their options were limited. While at the Ferguson Firm, I successfully tried several cases and obtained many favorable results. Notable among those successes were a settlement in an on-the-job closed head injury case where the client received n $430.958.49, a $312,686.10 net verdict in a slip and fall case ending in an injured rotator cuff, and a settlement in a carbon monoxide poisoning case where the client received $194,056.98.
In 2011, I moved back to Waco and joined the legal team of Giles & Giles, where I practice Personal Injury, Criminal, and Family Law. In addition to the on-the-job injury, premises liability, and medical malpractice trials described above, I handle cases involving deaths, car wrecks, animal attacks, criminal offenses, divorces, and custody disputes. Bringing my creativity, intelligence, and wealth of experiences to bear on all cases, I work hard to ensure my own preparedness, as well as that of my client. While my clients may describe me as an honorable and personable attorney, I've proven myself a veracious litigator and tenacious defender of their rights. My passion for the law and skill in the courtroom are evident; but, it is my desire to bring justice and closure to all of my clients' cases that proves my greatest source of professional satisfaction.
