PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS LAWYER. He seems very kind and well educated (he is a lawyer and apparently a doctor although he does not seem to be practicing) but he does not care about you or your well being. He has shown me that he simply wanted to pocket the most money he could squeeze out of me and my case. This was my first time getting a lawyer and he took advantage of that. Since I did not know all that was needed. I was confused as to why he never provided me with any documents or explanations about my case but I did trust him because he was a family friend (not anymore). If he is capable of scamming me he will more than likely scam you out of your money. Not to mention he will try and trick you into thinking you asked for this in my opinion.He refuses to pay my medical bill now and has ghosted me. No response over two weeks and I have reached him about 6 times and counting. He refuses to give me my client files and contract. He has never given me any forms to keep. Again, I was an amateur at this and he took advantage of that. Please be careful when getting this lawyer and pay attention to the red flags. Make sure you are forward and ask how much he is getting from the settlement because he allegedly took more than 50% and left me with the emergency medical bill. The contract did not state that I would pay for the bill or any medical bill yet he decided that he does not associate himself with Baylor Scott and White and will not pay it that it was up to me. Even after the settlement we received was including that medical bill. There is more to this but what I wanted to mention was what I said above to warn anyone who feels suspicious and wants to look him up. I am shocked but mostly disappointed. I never caused him any issues or gave him attitude. I was straight forward on what I wanted which was my medical bills being paid for then the rest will be fine with me to receive. I was not money hungry like he was. I thanked him and wished him happy holidays (Case was during Nov 2019-Feb2020) and he did to. He was kind to me but once the money was received and he settled everything that he thought mattered he ghosted me. Well, we only had one conversation via phone after that and that is when he told me he does not associate with Baylor Scott and White and he will not pay for it that I would have to pay for it from the garbage amount he gave me. That really just makes me very disappointed above all. I have no room for hate and wish him enlightenment. It is not good business for him nor the client. Not to mention what he might come up with now to his clients or have other people leave positive reviews. I do not know how one will handle a negative review and how they will protect their name but keep an eye on those reviews. After 20+years of no reviews and mine being the first one. I wonder if he would start asking his clients to leave reviews. If you are asked…… wait until everything is settled and see how the outcome is. I wish you all the best of luck in finding GOOD lawyers who truly have a kind heart or at the very least do not malpractice.
