      Biography

      Drew C. Baebler was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., from which he graduated first in his engineering class with highest honors. While at Catholic University he helped to design a myoelectric arm at Walter Reed Army Hospital. While attending Washington University School of Law, he worked summers in Chicago and Washington, D.C., for the largest patent law firm in those cities. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Washington University in 1984. He is a partner of the law firm of Bauer & Baebler, P.C. The firm is nationally designated counsel for the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen and the I.B.E.W. and approved by the Brotherhood of Boilermakers.

      In 1993 Drew C. Baebler and Joseph L. Bauer, Jr. formed the law firm of Bauer & Baebler. During the last eleven years, they have tried numerous cases that have resulted in six and seven figure jury awards for victims of car and truck accidents, medical malpractice, product defect and victims of railroad neglect including maintenance of way workers, carmen, brakemen, engineers and laborers. They have represented numerous railroad workers on the Union Pacific, the Burlington Northern, the Kansas City Southern, the Southern Pacific, Amtrak and Norfolk Southern. Recently, after a week of trial on behalf of a Burlington Northern conductor, the railroad paid a confidential seven figure settlement to a brain damage worker. Drew recently received a verdict of $7.2 million in Belleville, Illinois for a woman who was badly burned and a $6 million dollar settlement for a woman who was the victim of anesthesia malpractice.

      Since 1984 Drew has devoted his practice to trial work representing victims of serious personal injury and death.

      Drew has tried numerous cases in numerous jurisdictions including St. Louis City; St. Louis County; Jefferson County, Missouri; Jackson County, Missouri; Madison County, Illinois; St. Clair County, Illinois; Washington County, Illinois; Palestine, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma Federal Court; Muskogee, Oklahoma Federal Court; Omaha, Nebraska Federal Court.

      He has appeared before numerous courts of appeals in state and federal court, including those in Missouri, Illinois, Texas, Florida and Arkansas.

      In addition to his trial and appellate experience Drew has shared his knowledge as a lecturer and writer in the fields of jury selection, opening statements and trial techniques.
