Edward J. Shankin

Ed is passionate about obtaining justice on behalf of those who have been victimized by another’s negligence or recklessness. Prior to joining SMDA, Ed worked at a high paced personal injury law firm handling auto accident cases as well as other personal injury cases. He joined SMDA in May 2017 as an associate handling auto accident and other personal injury claims, such as dog bites and premises liability claims, as well short-term disability and long-term disability claims.

Having handled numerous personal injury cases, Ed understands the intricacies of personal injury law and is able to clearly communicate with clients and juries alike. He became a personal injury lawyer out of a genuine desire to help injured people get the money they deserve for their injuries. Ed is sympathetic to each client’s unique circumstances and understands that most people have not been through the litigation process.

Ed is dedicated to helping seriously injured accident victims hold insurance companies and negligent parties responsible and accountable for their actions. Each day, Ed enjoys going up against the insurance companies and their adjusters who are trained to minimize claims and pay as little as possible. He works diligently to present a case in a way which provides the best odds for his client to receive the compensation they deserve. Today, Ed uses his extensive knowledge of the local legal system to advocate for his personal injury clients as they seek to assert their legal right to retribution for the conduct of others.

When he is not serving his clients, Ed enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and daughter and is an avid college and professional sports fan rooting on the local teams.
