      Biography

      Elizabeth "Beth" Forrest is a partner at Siebman, Forrest, Burg & Smith, LLP, and represents clients before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas, as well as Texas state courts in Collin County, Grayson County, and the surrounding areas. She handles a variety of litigation matters for clients, including business disputes, patent and trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation, False Claims Act cases and other civil matters pending in state and federal courts of Northeast Texas.

      In 2010, Beth graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. In 2014, Beth earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from Seattle University School of Law in Seattle, Washington.

      Beth served as a federal law clerk to United States District Judge Amos L. Mazzant, III of the Eastern District of Texas from January 2015 through August 2016. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Eastern District of Texas Bar Association and is Chairperson of the Women Lawyers of the Eastern District of Texas committee of the Eastern District of Texas. Beth has also served as a Special Prosecutor for the Collin County District Attorney.

      Beth has served as a moderator and panelist at State Bar of Texas Advanced Patent Litigation Conferences including moderating a panel of Eastern District of Texas judges regarding best practices for young lawyers. She moderated a panel including Judge Amos Mazzant, Judge Christine Nowak, Judge Kimberly Priest Johnson and District Clerk David O'Toole on trial practices in the Sherman Division sponsored by the Eastern District of Texas Bar Association. During law school she participated in a research project sponsored by the Eastern District of Texas Bar Association regarding the use of juries in complicated litigation, the results of which were presented at the State Bar of Texas Advanced Patent Litigation Conference.

      When not in the courtroom, Beth enjoys spending time with her husband, a software engineer, traveling, practicing yoga and exploring the Dallas food scene. She is a seventh generation Texan born in Plano.
