Erik is a trial attorney who zealously represents clients in all areas of family law. Upon graduating from Elon School of Law, Erik returned to his hometown of Elkin, North Carolina to begin his legal career. The majority of his cases were tried in Surry County District and Superior Courts, where he developed applied skills and a reputation as a strong and experienced litigator. Although Erik has always derived great fulfillment from counseling people through hard times, it was by representing numerous parents through their fight for child custody that he truly recognized his passion for domestic work. Erik understands the complexity of the law and is driven to provide clients with professional, compassionate representation in all family law matters.
His practice caters to cases involving child custody and visitation, child support, divorce, domestic violence, adoption, separation agreements, prenuptial agreements, post nuptial agreements, property division, alimony, spousal support and grandparents’ rights.
As a young boy, Erik enjoyed scouting, and reached his goal of becoming an Eagle Scout after many years of dedication and hard work. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in History. During his course of study, he interned with the District Attorney’s Office of New Hanover County. When Erik is not serving clients in a court of law, he can often be found serving aces on the tennis court or playing with his dog Henry.
