Frank Hupfl has been practicing law since 2011. His primary focus has been in assisting both public sector and private employers in effectively addressing a broad range of issues arising from the employment relationship, including issues arising under federal and state employment laws and regulations. Frank has counseled clients on, and litigated claims arising under, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, and Title VII. Frank’s practice has also included aspects of labor law, which gives him a strong basis for understanding the special hardships of people injured while at work.
“In law school, I became fascinated about the relationship between employees and their employer. I believe it’s absolutely imperative that workers be afforded a safe working environment in which they can be productive, and in turn, fairly compensated. Unfortunately, injuries at work do occur and that’s where I step in, making sure that our clients’ rights are protected and ensuring them the time and resources necessary for their recovery. I believe that my past experience representing employers gives me a unique perspective into how employers think and enhances the service I can provide to our clients.”
Frank received his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and in 2011 graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law. While in law school, Frank was an Articles Editor for the University’s Law Review and upon graduation received the ABA-BNA award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law. Before joining Geoff McDonald & Associates, Frank was with a large international firm in the nation’s capital and prior to that he was a labor and employment litigation associate with midsize firms in Atlanta, Georgia and Roanoke, Virginia.
