Frank Nardi is a founding member of McLaughlin & Nardi, LLC and leads its tax, estate planning and administration, bankruptcy, transactional, and real estate practices.
There are few New Jersey attorneys with as wide range of experience or expertise as Frank Nardi, and fewer still with Frank's talent and skill in each.
Frank has the distinction of being both an attorney and a certified public accountant, licensed to practice each in both New Jersey and New York. He is also a certified financial planner. With this background, Frank brings a unique financial and tax analysis to legal issues that most attorneys are simply not equipped to undertake.
Frank assists people and businesses in tax and financial planning. He represents taxpayers in audits, and in disputes with the United States Internal Revenue Service and the New Jersey Division of Taxation. He negotiates violations, assessments, delinquencies, penalties, fines and interest with state, local and federal tax authorities. He handles businesses with Labor Department audits. He represents taxpayers in litigation in Tax Court and tax appeals. He also handles transactions with the Small Business Administration.
These complementary areas of professional expertise make Frank a uniquely qualified attorney. For instance, Frank's financial background helps make him an expert at both the legal aspects of estate planning, and the tax aspects as well. It allows Frank to structure effective business and real estate transactions which maximize return while also minimizing tax consequences. It allows Frank to counsel businesses in financial trouble to reorganize and re-emerge to pursue strategies that help them grow and thrive.
Frank also has unique experience in bankruptcy law. Frank worked for the United States Bankruptcy Trustee in Manhattan, and has represented many people and businesses seeking bankruptcy protection.
Frank's background practicing law, managing accounting and financial planning practices, and being the father of three active children, give Frank a keen insight on the personal impact of every legal issue. Regardless of whether Frank is helping people or businesses, he understands that every matter, every outcome, and every decision affects real people.
Frank's expertise is even sought out by the taxing authorities themselves, and he has lectured on various tax topics in conjunction with the Internal Revenue Service and the State of New Jersey's Division of Taxation.
Frank is a past president and vice president of the Accounting, Financial and Tax Professionals Society of New Jersey. He is a member of the New Jersey State and Passaic County Bar Associations, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of CPAs, the National Society of Accountants, the New Jersey Association of Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Business and Industry Association.

A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Frank grew up in Hasbrouck Heights and attended Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey. He lives in Somerset County with his wife, a school principal, and their three wonderful children.
