George Tankard, 57, has litigated complex civil cases for 30 years in a variety practices areas, including admiralty and maritime litigation, False Claims Act litigation, and products liability, medical malpractice, toxic tort, medical device, and pharmaceutical litigation. He has litigated cases in these practice areas for several prominent Baltimore and national firms. George graduated from the College of William & Mary in 1981, where he earned his bachelor's degree and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He was awarded a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia in 1984. George is licensed to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. He is currently a member of Taxpayers Against Fraud Education Fund, the American Association for Justice and the Maryland Association for Justice, as well the Maryland and Baltimore City Bar Associations. George currently serves as Co-Chair of the Bar Association of Baltimore City’s Pro Bono and Access to Legal Services Committee and as a member and volunteer attorney with the Senior Legal Services Committee.
