After 3 years spent teaching English in Taiwan and cutting down mulga trees for cattle to eat in Australia, Jerry's devotion to living an extraordinary life has led him to the study and practice of law. Particularly, commercial and business law. Now he is involved in the litigation and arbitration of international, multi-million dollar disputes involving long-term supply contracts and tech startups, six- and seven- figure products liability lawsuits, navigating multi-national product recalls for manufacturers and a variety of commercial disputes on less-flashy scales.
In law school, he wrote half of the legal problem that the second-year students argued in the semester-long moot court competition. His half of the problem was about everyone's favorite subject-selective waiver of confidential information when businesses cooperate with government regulators-which he selected because of his fascination with the interplay between the legal theory and the practical concerns surrounding business entities like corporations and LLCs.
Jerry will one day have a legal practice that connects the American, Taiwanese, and Australian commercial interests that have so inspired him in his adult life.
When he's not practicing law, you'll find Jerry training muay Thai boxing, traveling outside of the United States, baking pastries, or finding ways to justify all the caffè mochas he drinks. Due to the COVID pandemic, he now just does those last two things.
