      Biography

      Gregory F. Cromwell’s law practice emphasizes representation of Homeowners’ and Condominium Associations. He has provided legal representation for Associations for over 35 years. He and his Association Team represent over 200 Associations, working with property managers and self-managed Associations to ensure the best possible Board decisions and outcomes on Association issues. He has spoken at seminars and workshops for directors and officers of Associations. He is a member of the Community Associations Institute, a national organization dedicated to the advancement and improvement of Associations, with resources which aid in handling Association issues. He has been an expert witness in a federal court case, assisting an Association defend its actions in enforcing no-business-use covenants.

      He firmly believes in the importance of active Associations because they protect the marketability and value of owners’ properties and the quality of life for owners residing in the community. He believes in an approach to problem solving which involves fair, consistent, and courteous interaction with owners who are the subject of assessment and covenant issues with the Association, while firmly protecting Associations’ interests.

      Greg and his Association Team have extensive litigation experience, having handled a substantial number of trials, mediations, and arbitrations.

      During law school, Greg was a legal intern in the office of Governor Dan Evans. During his earlier years of practice he served as a judge pro tem for over twenty years for several District and Municipal Courts, thereby gaining valuable insight into what is important to judges during hearings and trials. For fourteen years he was one of the founding directors and an officer of the National Bank of Tukwila, a community national bank which, through a series of bank mergers, eventually became a part of Wells Fargo Bank. During that period, he served on the bank’s Executive Loan Committee, gaining valuable experience and insight into the loan and security principles and documents utilized by banks, and banking standards for lending. His banking experience has helped in assisting Associations with their loan transactions when financing is sought for significant maintenance and repair projects
