Harold Velez

Harold S. Velez is the founder and principal attorney at Velez Legal, P.A., a Florida firm entirely dedicated to asserting the rights of personal injury victims. As a proven trial attorney, Mr. Velez distinguishes himself through his willingness to aggressively litigate personal injury cases, and through his passion for honing his craft as an eloquent and effective courtroom advocate.

Mr. Velez traces his strength as a litigator to his legal education at the Stetson University College of Law. As a member of Stetson's nationally-recognized Trial Team, he participated in competitions across the state of Florida and the United States - always advancing to either the semi-finals or finals, and winning the 2014 Florida Justice Association Mock Trial Competition.

It was this training and education that provided the foundation for Mr. Velez to hone his skills as a trial lawyer in the real world. Within two months of obtaining his law license, Mr. Velez tried his first jury trial in Naples, FL, where he obtained a six-figure verdict for his client. When the Defendants appealed the victory, Mr. Velez argued before the 2nd District Court of Appeals himself and defeated the Defendants for the second time. Since then, Mr. Velez has first-chaired jury trials in Miami, Key West, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, in State Court and Federal Court. Mr. Velez, working for some of the largest personal injury firms in the nation, secured millions on behalf of his clients. After years of working for these firms, Mr. Velez decided to open Velez Legal, P.A., to help clients across the State of Florida take back control, adjust to their new normal, and obtain the justice they rightfully deserve.

Mr. Velez is fluent in English and Spanish, and serves clients in both languages. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2016, and practices in the United States Southern District of Florida.
