Heather A. Hartoin is an experienced trial attorney who focuses her practice on personal injury litigation and criminal defense. Prior to joining John Price Law Firm, LLC in 2011, she worked for Allstate Insurance Company in the Indianapolis Staff Counsel Office, where she defended both first-party and third-party liability claims and prosecuted subrogation actions on behalf of the company. She began her legal career as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, concentrating her practice in the area of criminal domestic violence. In addition to practicing law, she is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Charleston School of Law, where she has taught criminal law.
Heather obtained her Juris Doctorate degree, with a Criminal Law Concentration, from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2002, where she received honors for her participation in both the National Mock Trial Team and the Criminal Law Clinic. She also obtained her undergraduate degree from Valparaiso University, where she graduated Cum Laude in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Psychology and Pre-Physical Therapy.
Heather is admitted to practice law in the states of South Carolina and Indiana, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.
Heather lives in Summerville with her husband, Steve, and their three dogs.
