Hillary Jaqua

Hillary A. Jaqua was born and raised in Piqua, Ohio. After graduating from Piqua High School, Hillary attended the University of Dayton where she majored in Political Science. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, Hillary attended the University of Dayton School of Law. While in law school, Hillary completed an externship and worked in the school's civil law clinic. Hillary received the CALI award for Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Law and acted as a Student Ambassador working on marketing materials and participating on panel discussions. Hillary was a founding member of the UDSL Breakout Group and traveled to Guatemala to volunteer at a local Children's Orphanage. After graduating from law school, Hillary worked in various legal entities until she found her home in private practice at Waite, Tomb & Eberly. Hillary handles a wide range of matters, but primarily works in the area of Domestic Relations and Juvenile Law. Hillary recently accomplished completing the educational requirements to serve as a Parenting Coordinator and looks forward to providing said services to her local community and surrounding counties.

In addition to her work as an attorney, Hillary serves as guardian ad litem, representing the best interest of children in custody battles in Miami County, Darke County and Shelby County. Hillary is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Miami County Bar Association. Hillary is a board member of Children's International Summer Villages (CISV) which is a non-profit that aims to educate and inspire action for a more just and peaceful world. The organization operates international educational programs on an annual basis to bring together participants from Miami County. Hillary is a board member of CASA/GAL of Miami County which gives a voice for children who have been abused or neglected in Miami County. CASA volunteers meet with the child's family, teachers, therapists and any other adults in the child's life, then they make an independent, unbiased and informed recommendation to the judge on behalf of the child. Hillary is a board member of Child Care Choices of Miami County, Ohio whose mission is to spark positive change and growth in the child care capacity in Miami County by partnering with providers, businesses, area governments, and families. Hillary is also a member of the Miami County Bar Association and is currently serving as the associations Vice President.

Hillary currently resides in Miami County with her spouse and children.
