J. Gary Vannoy (August 23, 1940 – March 15, 2020)

Gary received his undergraduate education at Mars Hill College and Wake Forest University. He graduated law school from Wake Forest University in 1964. In 1968 he started what is now Vannoy, Colvard, Triplett & Vannoy. Gary was one of the last of a generation of lawyers who did not specialize in one area of the law, but he maintained a general practice and worked in many different areas of the law over his 55 year career. In recognition of his many years of hard work and dedication to the practice of law, Gary was inducted into the North Carolina Bar Association General Practice Hall of Fame in 2018.

Gary passed away on March 15, 2020. We are carrying on his legacy by working hard each day to make sure we provide the same dedicated representation for our clients that Gary did.
